Screen time, if your parent is something you are always concerned about. How much is too much? What are my kids watching? Screen time can be a great thing for your child if you are researching and finding the right programs and apps that will educate and entertain your child.

Recently my family started using Epic!, an application that offers a digital library of over 25,000 of the best books, learning videos, quizzes & more.

Epic! Opens the Doors to a New World of Reading for Kids 12 and Under

Epic! provides an unlimited selection of eBooks that can be instantly discovered, read and shared with friends. Personalized for each individual reader, Epic! is the only place to access thousands of high quality, curated children’s books without the need to purchase or download them one by one. Beautifully designed for mobile and featuring fun, game-like elements, Epic! provides kids with a personal library they can take anywhere. In a world of unlimited screen time, Epic! is a smart alternative to games and videos. Epic! is available on all iOS and Android devices.”

Where to Start:

The child dashboard is where you can access all of the material. Epic! offers ebooks, read to me style ebooks as well as learning videos, quizzes, and collections of the newest books.

Epic! is currently used in over 87% of US elementary schools. Our vast community of teachers and librarians have created thousands of amazing content collections on a variety of subjects and interests for you and your child to explore.

Learning Videos

Get unlimited access to thousands of fiction and nonfiction videos, featuring a wide-range of topics, from DIY and Cooking to Social Sciences and Math.

Awards and badges encourage your child to continue reading, exploring and learning. Over time, rewards become less frequent, allowing a love of learning to become the key motivator.

Reading Challenges

Monthly reading challenges are a fun way to motivate your child to continue reading and using the many fun features Epic! has to offer.

Epic! is a fun way to encourage reading with your children. My two year old loves the read to me style books, while my four year old loves the read-along books. Epic! offers books on all different subjects and genres, they should be something that your child will love. I love that they not only offer classic children’s stories but also new trendy books.

YES! YES! YES!!! Not only am I an elementary teacher but my first grader LOVES EPIC!!! He’s excited about reading and is such a great reader. He uses Epic in school but he now uses it at home too. Scholastic never seems to disappoint.

This is great! My nieces and nephew are all 12 and under. When they come over, I struggle finding kids books or other things we can do together and they always want to get their hands on my tablet. This seems like a win-win solution! And like it will keep them busy and learning!

Nowadays, some parents just plop their kids in front of TV, aka the babysitter, lol. Iโ€™ve never heard of EPIC but my kids are grown now. Sure think itโ€™s a pretty fantastic way to keep little minds entertained while learning ๐Ÿ’•
