The Best No-Cook Play Dough

We go through a lot of playdough, whether it’s dried out from not being stored properly or it quickly gets dirty from constantly being dropped on the floor.  This is a great quick and easy recipe that makes great play dough. I love getting the kids involved to make it, they can knead the dough together before you add the colours it.

This recipe creates a soft play dough your kids will love. It does create a small batch so I recommend doubling it.

Easy Soft Play Dough

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup table salt

1 tbsp cream of tartar

Food colour

2 tbsp vegetable oil

1 tbsp glycerine

3/4 boiling water

Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl. Boil water and add food colouring, add boiling water, oil and glycerine to dry ingredients. Stir until mixed well. The mixture may appear to wet and sticky but let cool for 5-10 minutes. Once cool knead on a countertop until blended well.

Kneading help improves the texture and it’s fun to get the kids involved.

Store in an airtight container.

Have fun creating!
