If your looking to update your Christmas decor this holiday season you heading to your local Dollar Tree is the place to go. You can whip up an easy, cheerful, bright Christmas wreath for less than $20 and in about an hour.
Christmas Wreath Supplies
- 6″ mesh in gold and red
- mesh tubing in green
- wire wreath form
- small ornaments
- battery powered lights
- wire cutters
- pipe cleaners
Cut your ribbon pieces to 3″- 6″ and let them roll back into a tub shape.
You’ll also want to cut up your pipe cleaners into thirds using your wire cutters.
Grab three pieces of deco mesh and pinch them tightly in the centre. Any colour combination is fine. I did all of mine red, gold, red.
Wrap your pipe cleaner piece around the pinched area and twist to hold.
Continue making these little bundles until you have 36 in total.
Starting on the outside of your wire wreath form, attach your deco mesh bundles and twist into place.
Attach one bundle to each post, this helps keep your wreath full and even.
Secure five bundle in between posts. I like alternate the position, I don’t tend to put any bundles on the center or outside ring to allow more space for accessories.
Work your way around until all bundles are secure.
Create bundles of mesh tubing by cutting a 32″ piece fold in half, then half again. Pinch in the center and secure.
I added 6 bundles.
Attach piper cleaners to ornaments and secure. This is where you can go crazy.
To add the lights, secure battery packs to the back with pipe cleaners. Then weave the lights through.
Easy as that! What’s your favorite DIY Dollar Tree Christmas craft?
