I love this Chunky Monkey Smoothie recipe it is really smooth and creamy, it almost tastes like a milkshake. The almond butter, chocolate, and banana make a super thick and rich smoothie. This smoothie is the perfect afternoon snack that helps satisfies those sweet cravings. My entire family enjoys them and what I love about them is that there is no added sugar, the sweetness comes from the ripe bananas.
Chunky Monkey Smoothie
2 ripe bananas
¼ cup almond butter
2 scoops chocolate protein powder (I like Orgains)
¾ cup ice
1 cup almond milk
Protein powder replacement:
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
1/2 tsp vanilla
Add banana, almond butter, protein powder, ice and almond milk in a blender. Blend on high speed for 1 to 2 minutes.
I like mine really smooth and frothy so I blend it more.
Pour in a couple of glasses and enjoy. I like to float a couple of slice of bananas on top to make me feel fancy.
Makes 2 servings
By storing peeled over-ripe bananas in the freezer you can skip the ice and take your smoothie to a whole new level!!
