Getting in shape after having children can be a struggle and many women (myself included) get frustrated trying to get rid of the extra “baby weight”. No matter if you’re reading this 8 weeks, 8 months or even 8 years after baby you can still get in shape – even during naptime. Many women have been taught that putting ourselves in restrictive diets + hours in the gym = weightloss success. I am here to tell you that is FAR from the truth. Typically, when we have unrealistic eating plans & unsustainable workouts we actually do more damage to our bodies than good. We can damage our metabolisms, create adrenal fatigue, mess up our hormones (making it almost impossible to lose weight) and get hypothyroidism.
Health and fitness doesn’t have to be something we do on top of being a mom.
We can easily integrate a more active lifestyle and healthy habits into our own motherly identity. As a personal trainer & weight loss coach, I can tell you (both personally and as a coach) the HARDEST part of any weight loss journey is having PATIENCE. It’s not the workouts or the nutrition – it is the MINDSET to have the discipline to stick to the plan through to the end.
I am here to tell you that YOU CAN lose the baby weight with simple nutrition and working out at home 3-4 days a week. Even though it might seem small, trust me – you WANT to achieve fat loss at a slow and steady pace. Because that’s what really keeps the weight off FOR THE LONG TERM. Again, you have to stick to it & have patience to create the healthy habits that will help you transition from weight loss to maintaining weight. I have created this easy low impact, quiet workout routine. In this 30-minute, quick, easy workout for naptime you’ll build up a sweat & stay quiet during naptime.
I hope you enjoyed this quick easy workout routine for naptime. I created it as a full body workout so you can do this workout 3-4 days / week. I know how precious sleep time is to both your child’s development and your sanity. I call naptime my mom break. I can take an hour or two to get my stuff done. Typically, at naptime I am folding laundry or watching Netflix. -Any Good Place fans here?? Hope you enjoy! Until next time.
